The Jokapoika shirt is a unisex shirt decorated with the washed black and white Piccolo pattern. It is a loose fit shirt with a straight cut to the hip hemline with little side slits and a stitched-on chest pocket. In her first year at Marimekko in 1953, designer Vuokko Eskolin-Nurmesniemi created Piccolo, a striped fabric painted with freehand brushstrokes. The color may vary from shirt to shirt due to a sustainable method of dying the fabric.
